Welcome Readers!

Welcome to the Mystic Blog of the only Mystic Nymph! I hope you have a blast reading my thoughts, and I hope you drop by again!

Marquee

I'll let you in a little revelation about my favorite usernames in my virtual sites. First is about my Mikimoto Angel pen name. Mikimoto is a famous brand of pearl accessories in America. I first saw that brand in Vogue Magazine. I got mesmerized by that label, and I thought of using it. I just added Angel from my name "Angela". Thus, the formation of Mikimoto Angel.

For my other pen name Mystic Nymph, the word mystic really came from the show Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. I used to be so hooked to that show. I am also obsessed with mythologies, and nymphs are mythical creatures depicted as beautiful young women who are considered as guardians of objects and places in nature. Thus, the evolution of Mystic Nymph.

Eyes Set to Kill

I love wearing contact lenses. I feel like I'm a different individual when I have them on. I already have two pairs of them -- Angel Violet and Doll Eye Gray. I'm planning to buy a pair of Super Nudy Gray contacts next year. I'll have to save some bucks first. OMG! I have a lot of plans for 2011. I wish they'll all get materialized.

Halloween Eyes. This is my pair of DOLL EYE GRAY contact lenses. I bought this for only 850php. I wore this very rarely because the style is weird. Scary, I have to say. I don't want people looking at me like I've done something wrong.

ANGEL VIOLET. This is the first pair I bought. Price is just the same. I like this better than the second pair I bought. They make my eyes look bigger. Does it look good on me?

Happy New Year everyone! Have a good one.

Look How They Shine!

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, many people especially the vain and well-off ones have the passion for spending their bucks for some luxury items. Their eyes sparkle with a flicker of contentment when they get something beyond the means of others. We always feel great about ourselves whenever we have something that others don't have. I know that sounds so mean and arrogant, but that's the way things are. I guess you're wondering what I'm blabbing about. Now, let me lead you to a world where you could be bedazzled with the brilliance of the thing we call, crystals.

These crystals have always been special in the circle of people who value vanity a great deal. These add a jaw-dropping aura to whomever wearing them. They jazz up one's look. They make people, especially women, look sophisticated and elegant. But some would use them because they believe in the power of luck. They accessorize to invite positive forces, and ward off the negative ones.

Feng Shui experts and some celebrities have been emphatically saying about how crystals could be a source of transformation in their lives. They believe that the properties of those certain gems and stones could create a miracle in their whole being. Because I'm curious, I decided to have a little research to know the meaning people give behind these crystals. I want to know why these beautiful and sparkling pieces seem to be people's agent of change.

Diamonds are forever! This mineral is said to absorb and amplify the thoughts of the one who uses it. They say it helps in the spiritual love, peace, clarity, trust and confidence. The Pearl which is the symbol of purity in heart and mind rebounds low integrity to its user. Silver is excellent in cleansing the mind, body and emotions.

Speculations state that many crystals do really have hidden properties. When we feel worn out, crystals they say could balance our energy and revitalize us. While I wince at the concept of these beliefs, I still respect the people who find these things useful to their fate. But still, we must bear in mind that these are just mere accessories. We must not put too much faith on it. Only the Almighty Creator is worthy of our undying trust.

One Lonely yet Lovely Song

I’ve had this song in my play list for three years already. I heard this song four years ago on my favorite radio station, NU 107, and instantly fell in love with it. I didn’t know the title and the artist of this song, because the DJ wasn’t telling it. All I know is that it has “Sleeps with Butterflies” in the chorus, not knowing that it’s actually the title. Good thing the Internet was already up and running that time. It's the only Tori Amos song I know. Too bad, right?

This song reminds me of the melodramatic memory I had with my first boyfriend. When he said he no longer wanted me as his girlfriend, and that he didn’t see our relationship working out, this song was being played. The lyrics, “I’m not like the girls that you’ve known” struck me. It was like something inside me wanted to scream, and urge him to listen to the song so that he would know what I felt. Tori Amos was like my spokesperson that very moment, although I know my ex was not paying attention to the song.

Back to the Past (High School)

This ancient photograph was taken six years ago at our beloved DOST building. We were second year high school then. I was with my closest friends Lerr Dwaine, Jacynie and Faith. My true friend, Regine, took this shot. She was also the one who uploaded this on Facebook, and I thought of blogging about it. I miss my chubby face! I was so lonely when this picture was taken because that was also our Recognition Ceremony. I had an ultimate crush, and I discovered that he's going to continue his studies in Manila. Too much for that drama, I remember cameras were still so rare that time that's why we really managed to pose to capture the moment. Nothing beats the friendship I have my high school friends. They make me feel better when times get rough, and they never left me. I truly and deeply love them, and I know they love me back.

This was also shot in the same place. we were in the second floor, that's why it was so windy. Notice how my hair ruined my photo. I look so innocent here, and I don't like it. I looked like a nerd who's always bullied by pretty girls. But mind you, I didn't get bully attacks way back. I experienced such when I no longer dress up like a nerd. Weird, eh? Ignoring them is the only way out.

Memories of 2010

I've been acting like a headless chicken for the previous years. I was such a foolish and selfish rogue. I acted on a disorderly way without thinking of where my decisions might lead me and the people around me. I always failed my parents' expectations towards me. Whenever we talked, we ended up arguing. It was like having a conversation with them felt like I was skating on thin ice. I used to think that I'm our family's black sheep, and that I wreaked havoc every single minute.

This year is definitely the best year of my entire life. I could say I've become a better person. There are a lot of wonderful things that happened to me this 2010. I'm very grateful that God gave me a chance to renew my unpleasant life. I'm thankful that my family never gave up on me. I don't have the angst in my heart anymore. I tried so hard to remove it in my system, cause it's the main reason why I've been miserable and insecure before. It inflicted pain to me, and to everyone connected to me.

The year 2010 has opened many doors for me. I apologize if that sounded so trite, but I couldn't think of any better idiom to express what I mean. Anyway, let me talk about the opportunities God gave me this year. They all made me feel secure with myself and everything that I have. Because of those chances, I managed to shrug off anything that makes me feel discontented. I know I don't get those things that I always wanted, but at least I still have some things that can make me stand firm. Here are some memories of 2010 that I will never forget:

My article entitled "How I Learned to Draw" has been published to Sun Star Davao. It's actually a sensitive creative non-fiction essay on how I went through my path to becoming a LADY. It's also published on Dagmay -- the official website of Davao Writers' Guild. Just visit dagmay.kom.ph and search for my full name "Katrina Angela Castro" in the Index of Authors, if you want to read my article. It's my first essay ever published in a broadsheet. Thank you Lord!

We had a field trip to one of the most beautiful summer destinations in the Philippines -- Camiguin Island via Butuan. We were wet all day because we bathed nonstop from one spot to another. We went to Sto. Nino Cold Spring, Soda Swimming Pool, Guiob Church Ruins, Sunken Cemetery, Katibawasan Falls, White Island and the famous Pastel store, Vjandep. That trip was just within one day. After that day, we went to Cagayan de Oro for a breakfast and lunch. We also bought some more pasalubongs at Lim-Ketkai and Robinson's Mall. And then we headed straight to Bukidnon to see how creative Leandro Locsin is with the architecture of the Monastery of Transfiguration in Malaybalay. We enjoyed the round trip so much! That was totally one heck of an adventure.

My boyfriend and I also celebrated our third year anniversary last September. We planned a total date to make it really memorable. We had to make it special because our parents already knew about our relationship. My Mom and I got even closer when she knew everything about us. We didn't have to hide what we feel for each other anymore. Sorry for the cheesiness! We went to Eden Nature Park and Resort, and then we had pizza adventure at Calda Pizza and Coco's South Bistro. That was our way of strengthening our romantic bond -- to go on a trip. Here are some photos we had.

Lastly, I got to work and earn money for myself. I became a part-time tutor for five elementary students. The pay was not that big but at least I bought things for myself. It was also enough to go on a food trip with some friends. That job taught me how to work hard and have patience on everything, especially to children. But now I decided to quit the job because I have to concentrate on my studies. I'll be graduating hopefully this October of 2011. I know God will help me play the cards right, because he is my refuge and strength!

PS: Some photos are on my Facebook.

Brutality -- Take it, it's yours!

A 39-year-old woman was found dead today in her house at Solariega Talomo, Davao City. It's near where we live. The suspect is her 20-year-old boyfriend who is now hiding from the authorities. What's worst about this case is that, the victim's boyfriend allegedly killed her out of jealousy. The guy must have been that emotional when he did the crime. Maybe the girl did something so painful to make his boyfriend act that wild. But of course, whatever reasons the suspect may have, he still doesn't have the right to take away one's life that easily and brutally. Guess what the culprit did to the poor woman. I'm gonna say it in my dialect first.

BISAYA version (Quoted from Vina Araneta of TV Patrol Southern Mindanao):

Gigulgol ang liog, giputol ang tiil ug gilangkat ang suso!

TAGALOG version (My translation):

Ginilitan ang leeg, pinutol ng paa at tinanggal ang dede.

What the heck! The news tried to censor the bloody scene, but the words of the reporter said a lot. I could imagine how the woman looked so torn apart just by listening to the news report. It was a very inhuman act! The one who did it might be psychotic. No wonder why the family of the victim decided to cremate her instead. Justice should be served. The heartless rascal must pay for his evil deed!

My Top 10 Films of 2010

I don't really watch movies. I can actually just count those films I've watched in the cinema, and even on DVDs with my fingers. I don't know why, but I kind of feel uneasy whenever I sit in front of the TV or big screen, just doing nothing but watch the scenes pass by. I don't feel comfortable when I'm not moving. Weird, eh? That's probably one of the behaviors I got from my mother. And because I'm not a movie freak, there are only a few films that got my attention for the year 2010. Let me begin with my list, which is not in particular order.

SCOTT PILGRIM vs THE WORLD

This movie is so EPIC! I love it because of the humor, the music and the superb cast! Ramona Flowers was really pretty and MYSTIC! At first I thought she was too cool for Scott, but when he defeated Ramona's SEVEN DEADLY X's he became way cooler than Ramona! Michael Cera definitely rocks. GO Sex Bob-Omb! This movie's Official Soundtrack is an A+ too! Best Sex Bob-Omb performance (for me) was when they sang Threshold to ward off the Katayanagi Twins (Ramona's 6th Evil X)

Quotable Quote:

Scott to Ramona: I'm in "lesbians" with you (he couldn't say the other L word.)

KICK ASS

One of the best action-packed films I've ever watched. This movie was the reason why I began to love superhero/action-comedy films. This is actually not intended to be watched by kids because of its profane and violent contents. Good thing I'm already 20, cause I am a big fan of Hit-Girl! Chloe Moretz played the role really well. She acted and spoke like she's not a child. I envy her guns, especially the BAZOOKA! :-D

Quotable Quote:

Kick-Ass (Dave Lizewski): Even with my metal plates and my fucked up nerve endings, I gotta tell you, that hurt! But not half as much as the idea of leaving everything behind.

DEAR JOHN

I almost cried watching Savannah and David's love story. It's a tear-jerker I should say! Having a special someone who is actually an army is hard. It's like your heart never stops pounding every minute as long as I know he's in the danger zone. It's also difficult to keep up with a long distance relationship. That may be the reason why Savannah decided to give up on John. One of the best things of this movie is, the soundtrack. It's so GOOD! You will never regret downloading them. Amanda Seyfried sings so well, and Channing Tatum is just so HOT!

Quotable Quote:

Savannah to John: No matter how many years go by, I know one thing to be as true as ever was - I'll see you soon then.

EASY A

This was the second and last film I watched on the big screen. I was with my friend, Maxine, when we had a doze of this adorable chick flick. This is such a hilarious film! I bought a DVD, and watched this three times at home. I even want to have a Scarlet Letter A on my wardrobe just like Olive Penderghast and Hester Prynne. That's how I'm addicted to Easy A! Another proof of my intense devotion is I'm now loving "the worst song ever" -- Natasha Bedingfield's Pocket Full of Sunshine. Crazy, isn't it?

Quotable Quote:

Olive Penderghast: Relax. Jesus. What is with you gays? Are you really that repulsed by lady parts? What do you think I have down there? A gnome? (Haha!)

EAT PRAY LOVE

One of my favorite Holliwood actresses is Julia Roberts. My Mom influenced me to like her. I've seen her box-office movies before, and she didn't really fail my standards of a must-watch chick flick star. Eat Pray Love is the best film for all the heart-broken women out there. You have to have time for yourself in order to love again. The best scenes in this film are actually shot in Italy where world-class cuisines are served. Your mouth will really water and all!

Quotable Quote:

"I do not need to love you to prove that I love myself." This was spoken by Liz Gilbert to her Balinese boyfriend. :-)

STEP UP 3D

This is way better than the second installment of Step UP, although I could say that the girl in Step Up 2 danced better than the girl in Step Up 3D. What I love about this film is that, eventhough I'm not a dance fanatic, The Pirate's move and groove make me want to dance as well. I love Moose! He may be thin, but his dancing capability is exceptional. He's a great dancer! The soundtrack is also perfect for some club party mood.

Quotable Quote:

Moose: People dance because dance can change things. One move, can bring people together. One move, can make you believe like there's something more. One move, can set a whole generation free.

SPLICE

We watched this film for our NSTP-CWTS class. One thing I realized when we watched this is that, the phenotype (physical appearance) of an organism is equal to the organism's genes, environment and the interaction of the genes and environment. I learned that from our Biodiversity class. I just related it to Splice.

Quotable Quote:

Clive Nicoli: Why the fuck did you make her in the first place? Huh? For the betterment of mankind? You never wanted a normal child because you were afraid of losing control.

TOY STORY 3

I also watched this on cinema with Maxine. We were so carried away with the scenes, that we never talked the whole time. We also tried to stop our tears from falling, that our throat ended up hurting. I love the animation as always. Too bad we didn't get to watch it on IMAX. This is my ultimate favorite childhood movie of all time! Woody and Buzz Lightyear are the best tandem!

Quoatable Quote:

Andy: Now Woody, he's been my pal for as long as I can remember. He's brave, like a cowboy should be. And kind, and smart. But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

LEAP YEAR

I love this film's tagline: Anna planned to propose to her boyfriend on February 29th. This is not her boyfriend. The narration made this film different from others. Even the smallest of details are relayed by the story-teller. Amy Adams and Matthew Goode look good together. They made a good couple in this movie -- an outgoing and fun manly man and a serious and professional lady. I also love the story line and the sceneries. Ireland is such a wonderful place with all the green grasslands and blue mountains. Perfect for nature lovers! I wanna be there someday.

Quotable Quote:

Bride: May you never steal, lie, or cheat, but if you must steal, then steal away my sorrows, and if you must lie, lie with me all the nights of my life, and if you must cheat, then please cheat death because I couldn't live a day without you. Cheers!

CHLOE

Because I love Amanda Seyfried, I didn't hesitate to watch Chloe. Her role here is much different from other roles she played. She's darkly erotic here compared to her sweet and girly characters in Mamma Mia and Dear John. I love the twist of this movie. Definitely, a must-see. It's a great mature movie indeed!

Quotable Quote:

Chloe: I try to find something to love in everybody. Even if it's a small thing. Something about the way someone smiles. There's always something, there has to be. I try to make myself generous. I do things I don't want to do. I... I think about what not to criticize. And the strangest things come back to me.

PS: I still haven't watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, Prince of Persia and Sorcerer's Apprentice. :-(

Shukran "Zabadani Cafe"!

I love Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern food more than Italian and French, mainly because of the challenging taste. Their unique cuisine names make food lovers go prying over them. They sound so interesting that you end up going crazy over them. My fondness for these kinds of cuisines all started with my sheer curiosity. I browse for different kinds of food in books, magazines and online journals. Just looking at them through photographs is totally not enough. Thanks to my friend, Jesse Pizzaro, for suggesting me this food joint I now consider as my favorite, Zabadani Cafe.

Zabadani is a city in southwestern Syria in the Rif Dimashq Governorate, close to the border with Lebanon (Wikipedia). Maybe that place is Mr. Wadilkhaery Ibn Mohammad Ali's inspiration in creating a Mindanao Syrian Cafe. What I love about Zabadani is that, they have the cheapest coffee in town. Their famous layered coffee Latte Macchiatti only costs 75-95, and mind you, the quality is OPTIMUM (as quoted from their Facbook Group Page). Delicious, I have to say!

The place is beautiful too! It's like you're just in your home, relaxing. There's privacy for everyone. Because everyone has their own business, you can even conduct a photo shoot there just like what we did (LOL)! Customers sit on carpeted platforms. There are pillows too, which means you can sleep there! I actually felt like I was in Syria (Although I've never been there) because of the interior designs. They're Muslim inspired. I really admire the creativity of Mr. Wadi! He's even hands-on with his business because he personally serves the food for the customers. Here are some of the photos I got when my school friends and I had a chance to hang out there.

INTERIORS

FOOD

Bruschetta

Dajaj Kebab (Ground Chicken Kebab)

Beef Squares

Macchiatti

Belgian Chocolate (Caldo)

PICTORIALS

That will never be my last time to drop by there. It's one of the best coffee shops in the city. It deserves not just a second shot, but A LOT of shots. And oh by the way, they have Buy 1 Take 1 Deals on some of the items on their menu every Wednesday from 2-5pm. I love ZABADANI CAFE! If you want to look at some photos we had there, here's my Multiply link:

If you want know about their menu, here are the photos I got from their Facebook Group Page:

Try dining at Zabadani Cafe. You will also have a blast for sure! It's located at Ponciano Street, Davao City near Tesoro's Printing Press. :-)

Happy Birthday Ciovic

It's a double celebration for me a few hours from now. It's Christmas, and it's my man's 22nd birthday as well. He's getting older, but he still is a kid at heart. He loves cartoons like Wonder Pets, Ben 10, Cat Dog and Avatar. I can't remember what other kiddie shows he's so into, all I know is that I don't mind it at all. That's what I love about him. I find it cute for a guy to love shows that are child-like. He's not afraid to show that he can still be a boy at times. He's man enough to make me know about it.

We're not going to be together for his birthday. AGAIN. He's not staying here in Davao. He'll be spending the holidays in his hometown, Cotabato City. I've never been there. I want to visit the place where he grew up. Maybe someday. I want to meet his friends and relatives there. I guess that would be exciting. Anyway, Happy Birthday to you my dear Ciovic. My gift shall be given to you when you get back. Always know that I love you wherever you are. Sorry for the trite statement, but I assure you that it's true. :-)

Christmas at Home

Meet Santa Clause and Mr. Snowman. I love these stuff toys we got from England. They're so cute. They made our house look so festive. I could really feel the Holidays! Without them, our living room would have been so dull just like the previous Christmas we had!

CHESS BATTLE: We made Santa and Snowman play chess! They're both up for the challenge. Nobody wants to quit. Santa's my bet! I have to be good to him cause I want more gifts! :-D

HUGS! How do you like them both? They're so fluffy, I'm gonna die! Do I look cute with these two famous Christmas figures? I bet you'd say, they're cuter than me! But, I'd agree with you. :-D

CHOCOLATES! Christmas won't be complete without satisfying our sweet tooth. These are Cadbury Roses chocolates from England. Who wouldn't want to devour these sweet creations? I honestly want them all, but I realized Christmas means SHARING. :-)

Let us stretch our bones. No room for lameness and sadness, because a few hours from now we will all CELEBRATE. Happy Holidays! :-D

Katrina's Thought Bubbles (Part II)

+ Mom's Steamed Tilapia with Assorted Nuts -- Almond, Hazelnut & Walnut! Now, I'm beginning to love tilapia.

+ My friends always go to me whenever they're troubled. What they don't know is that, I'm also in distress especially with my intricate self.

+ Don't ever go against my business, especially if it's totally NOT INTENDED to offend you. I'm not even minding your own. So shut your mouth!

+ It's really difficult when you're trying too hard to be as good as possible to someone. But then you're still treated the unfriendly way. :-(

+ I love this statement by Sir Paluga: A mall is one of the city's center of gravity. We renew our civilized existence by going to the mall.

+ I am really blessed to have friends who are true and loyal. I may not have a huge circle of them but I'm still very grateful I have them. :-)

+ I don't have to prove how much I love rock music by headbanging with the crowd. But I tell you I'm a devoted rock comrade, just so you know.

+ You make my life so glamorous. You can't blame me for feeling amorous! Wonderful, marvelous. (Joao Gilberto's "It's Wonderful" lyrics) :-D

+ Overcharging is not good for our gadgets. It's just like oversleeping, you feel so weak when you wake up. Your head will hurt like hell. :-)

+ I shall try my hardest to make peace with who I am, so I'll be contented with what I have. It really is difficult to desire so many things.

New Clothes for 2011

Yay! I just got a new Chiffon dress, and an Indian inspired long skirt. Would you believe that I got those two for only 270php? Yes, you read it right. What a catch! I bought them in a vintage store, not a tiangge. They still look unused though. I'm so lucky! Those kind of stores usually hide the items that are beautiful. Good thing, nobody saw them before I did.

I've always been wishing to have at least one of those two. Now, I'm waiting for my Mom's promise to come true -- a pair of detailed loafers from Chelsea! It will really match the new additions to my wardrobe. I can't wait to take a picture of me on it! I will blog about it for sure. Merry Christmas! God is so good. :-)

Home Made Goodness

My sister, Miko is just so fond of cooking. Actually, she's the best cook among my three siblings. Janine only knows how to cook fried pork and fish. Mikee knows how to fry eggs. While I know how to cook Adobo. We just know the basics, but the problem is they don't taste good as compared to that of Miko. I'm proud of her, and I wish I can also cook the same way as she can. For lunch today, she cooked Chopsuey. For snacks, she thought of preparing pizza out of what we have in the fridge.

We prepared Heinz Tomato Ketchup sachets (about six pieces), Chopped Meat Loaf and Bread. We bought EDEN Cheddar Cheese for 42php, because that's what we lack for the ingredients. We first topped the bread with the ketchup, then the grated cheese. Lastly, we put on the triangular shaped meat loaf. Then finally, we toasted each "bread pizza" for 3-4 minutes. Good thing we have hot sauce left from Yellowcab. It made our home-made pizza yummier! Fun and delicious afternoon with my sisters! Chow Down. Try it with your siblings or friends, it's going to be memorable!

Katrina's Thought Bubbles

+ I love Chiffon tops! They're so light and easy to wear. I already have four, and now I'm asking Mom to buy me a Chiffon DRESS. Say yes, Mom!

+ I don't know what is it with Indian Music that amuses me that much. When I listen to it, I feel like being hypnotized. It's enchanting! :-)

+ A beautiful quote from the movie Eat Pray Love: "Balance, my darling, is not letting anybody love you less than you love yourself." (Felipe)

+ "Mend the broken. Make strong the weak. And without hesitations, vanquish the evil." Just watched Legend of the Guardians. Good film! :-)

+ Bruschetta from Zabadani Cafe. This is delicious, because of the Olives, Tomato & Cheese. Enticing! It's one of my favorite food joints now!

+ The guy version of You Belong with Me made me like the song! He wears polo, I wear T-shirt. He's team captain, and I'm on a bleacher. Cute!

+ Be careful with the emoticons you choose. They might send a wrong message, creating a bad vibe for you and the one you're communicating to.

+ It's hard to be good when the people around you are too judgmental. Those who see only the bad side, and point out all the wrong deeds. :-(

+ I hate people who act so carefree as if they're not guilty even though it's quite obvious that they've done something wrong. So irritating!

+ I love Asking Alexandria's cover of Akon's Right Now (Na-na). The breakdowns are just so superb. They made the song sound way better! :-)

Labels Hanging In My Wadrobe

I’m actually not particular with the label with the clothes I put on. Just as long as many people don’t wear the same style as mine (that’s why I don’t like Artwork), they look good on me, and most importantly, I’m comfortable wearing them. If those clothes get worn out that easily, then too bad for me; if I get some that are durable, then I’m lucky. Whoever says we can’t find quality items out of generics? It’s just a matter of handling them properly. Everything wears down, without exceptions to branded garments. But, I also have to admit that high-class brands help us boost our ego. They make us feel more decent for some reasons. So now, let me disclose about some of the labels hanging in my closet.

ASOS

This is a white long blouse as you can see in the picture. It’s actually knee-length, so I can wear it even without leggings. But the cloth is a little see-through, so I still have to wear undergarments. What I don’t like about this wardrobe is that it gets crumpled that easily, and it’s difficult to iron out.

Bayo

My favorite Bayo blouse is my red one, because it’s very eye-catching. One of our professors even said, she likes it as well. These two in the picture are long blouses. I can wear them with either jeans or leggings.

Dorothy Perkins

This is one of my much loved brands, because it has a lot of lovely designs. As you can notice, I have four of it in my closet. My most beloved among them is my floral Chiffon top. I can wear it whether in smart casual or laid-back mood.

F&F

I have three F&F items. I only use the pink one as an undergarment. The red-and-white halter is a Fifa World Cup inspired top which is designed for England devotees. I love my F&F leggings because it’s so soft and light as if you’re not wearing it at all.

H&M

The one in the picture is a Snoopy inspired dress. Yes, it’s a dress. But I don’t have a full body picture of me on it. Maybe next time, I’ll try to take a picture of it. I use it rarely because our school is not a dress-friendly place, if you know what I mean UPians.

La Senza

I love this top. It emphasizes my body, even though it’s not a fitting piece. And, I also love the giraffe design. But what bugs me is that, I know La Senza as a lingerie company. Do you think this one should be worn as a nighty instead?

Massimo Dutti

I just love Chiffon tops, and this one’s got a bow tie as well. It’s perfect for my fashion standard, because I’m in love with anything that has buttons and ribbons. I’ve been wearing it often since I got it, so now I’m going to make it rest for a long time. I’m going to make myself miss it.

New Look

This is a turtle-neck top with glitters. I wear it with jeans and doll shoes, since it doesn’t look like informal, at least for me. I wear it with undergarment.

Ring Spun

This is one of my dearly loved wardrobes hanging in my closet, not because of the brand but because of the style. According to its tag, its style is called Crazy Eights and the color is Dove White. It’s only worn with black or white leggings. Because of its length, I think I can use it as a dress too.

Shapes

I bought this top for only 450php because it was on sale. I used this for my first speech in college. Notice the black button. It looks so nice. It accentuates the dullness of off-white.

Zara

This is a basic tee from Zara, and it’s made in Turkey. I hardly ever know clothes that are made there. I love the redness of this top. Whenever I wear this, it becomes the highlight of my get-up. I wear it with leggings or jeans. And I’m planning to wear it with black shorts next time.

Vintage Stores

I love ukay-ukay, but I easily get tired of looking for items that are good. That is why I just leave that task to my mother. She’s got a great eye for beautiful finds, and she knows very well my style. Among all my vintage clothes, my most favorite is that pink Chiffon top on the picture. I have a new Chiffon top from ukay-ukay, and it looks so good. Thanks Mom! I don’t have a picture of it yet. I’ll be posting it next time.
