Gastronomy: Bonding at Bro’s Brew

Ria and I planned to gather our beloved Quitter’s Club best friends, because the last time we were together was like, a month ago. Unfortunately only two were available. I’m a little sad that we weren’t complete, because Lavinia is currently a busy bee at work and Troy also has something else to do that day. But despite that, I’m still happy because I got to be with Charina, Shimea and of course Ria for an afternoon chitchat at Bro’s Brew.

We originally thought of a lunch/snacks meet-up at Turquoise Turkish Restaurant (originally from SM City Davao later transferred to Roxas Avenue), but we couldn’t find it. We searched high and low, but we were unlucky to spot the place. I don’t know if some evil spirits made it invisible in our eyes or something. I swear, I just saw its new location a week (or two) ago. I don’t have any idea where they are now. Can anybody enlighten me here?

I like the place because it’s cozy, but the problem’s is that it’s just another hole-in-the-wall in town. There’s nothing that can make you go WOW in their place. I hope they consider putting some accents and designs that can make it look one of its kind and picture perfect. My course mate also made a new company logo for them (with consent) for his thesis, but I didn’t see them using it. I can’t wait to see it in their shop!

About the service, I’m rating them with 3.5 out of 5. The attendants are nice! They weren’t grumpy unlike the waitress in the previous joint I reviewed. One of them was too kind that she even gave us a option whether to get our payment one by one or as a whole, and it was so mean of me to  choose the first one. I didn’t want to make it hard for her, it’s just that my choice came out of my mouth that instant. Sorry!

And by the way, I ordered Lemon Grass Chicken which is served with Lemon Sauce, Veggie Salad and Pasta. I felt weak in the knees after tasting it. The secret of the delightful taste is in the sauce and spices. The pasta was awesome! Too bad, I wasn’t able to know what they call it. Forgive me, because I didn’t take a picture of my friends’ orders. We were too busy talking and bullying each other. Here are our photos…

They’re addicted to The Sims Social, and I’m not. They’ve been inviting me to try it out but I guess my obsession for Facebook games died down when I started to blog again. Maybe I will try to play it once I’m not loaded with school requirements anymore, but I hope I won’t be that passionate towards it. Knowing myself, I’m not really good at controlling myself. Anyway, I have to say I totally had fun that day! As what Shimea tweeted, I thank God for friends. They make me feel sane whenever I’m with them. I love you girls! I hope to bond with you again.
