It's been awhile since my last post for this food blog series, and I feel like I'm losing a big part of me. To refresh your minds, I talked about my
Grub Resto Cafe and De Boerderij experience. I guess I'm just really obliterated by insufficient budget, options and time for the past days. I've also been having troubled thoughts lately because of academics. Thesis is such a bad word. I sure I hope I can get back on track with my food trip adventure as soon as everything scholastic will come to its finality.
Anyway, let me share you these home-made goodness that are either bought from our school's canteen or at home. And by the way, I'm so glad that my Mom finally got what she's been wishing for -- a turbo broiler. After such a very long time, we've again delighted our taste buds with one of her specialties -- cakes. She baked chocolate cake and devil's food cake for us just this recent weekend. I am happy for you, Mom. I can't wait to taste whatever you have in your cook book. Yehey! Here goes the photos:
|
Chicken Curry and Fried Chicken with Tropicana Juice |
|
Lucky Me's Extra Hot Pancit Canton with Cheese Sandwich |
|
Whole Rice with Pork Chops and Veggie Salad |
And presenting... MOM's CHOCOLATE CAKE...
|
My Mom's favorite choco powder -- Hershey's Cocoa. |

The chocolate icing! Delish. |

My slice of chocolate cake. Scrumptious! |
Wondering when will be my next Gastronomy post. I hope it won't be for long. I wish to pig out again with friends after my defense on the 25th of August. God willing!
I'm praying that Mom will find it in her heart to grant our wish by baking our favorite brownies this weekend. Giggles and Cross fingers!
And because we already have a turbo broiler, I'm thinking of creating another blog series that will feature my Mom's dishes. If time permits, I will push through with it as soon as possible. I'll keep you posted. Much love!
