Welcome Readers!

Welcome to the Mystic Blog of the only Mystic Nymph! I hope you have a blast reading my thoughts, and I hope you drop by again!

Marquee

I'll let you in a little revelation about my favorite usernames in my virtual sites. First is about my Mikimoto Angel pen name. Mikimoto is a famous brand of pearl accessories in America. I first saw that brand in Vogue Magazine. I got mesmerized by that label, and I thought of using it. I just added Angel from my name "Angela". Thus, the formation of Mikimoto Angel.

For my other pen name Mystic Nymph, the word mystic really came from the show Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. I used to be so hooked to that show. I am also obsessed with mythologies, and nymphs are mythical creatures depicted as beautiful young women who are considered as guardians of objects and places in nature. Thus, the evolution of Mystic Nymph.

Child's Play: Lace and Crochet

I won't be posting an outfit for this episode of Child's Play. Allow me to give way to your thoughts, instead. I need your suggestions on how I can possibly incorporate these vintage looking laces and hand-crocheted tops and vests into my wardrobe. I'm asking for your fashion forward tips because I'm in two minds on how to wear them, and I don't want to just ditch these lovely pieces from my closet. Help me look classy and posh with these layering staples. Blogger friends, a penny for your thoughts please.

lace is a very difficult clothing to mess with.. because you can only appear either sexy or trashy...

i had one crochet bolero once although i'm not a fan with it. i look like a lost probinsyana. you can go for a boho look with crochet pieces. mash it with modern style clothings.

sorry if i can't give you a decent advice. hehe! good luck on those! i'm sure you'd rock it. trust your gut.

It really is, Ms. Z. I tried to research on different ways of wearing it, and most of what I found lead me to wedding links. :-(

Hi just suggesting this, I am not really stylist but I think this is nicer suggestion :)
for 1-3 UP: best wear it with sleeveless top (solid color ha, huwag floral stripes, or design sleeveless)plus wear short and a flat shoes (for a casual day out -like going to mall or park). Add FEDORA hat for more fashionable look:)
for 1-2 DOWN: you can do the same as above pair with solid color short I suggest black color then just add up accessories like long necklace also wear flip flop (for a casual look. (If the sleeve was too long just fold it)
for 3 DOWN bolero lace wear it with LBD or little black dress then just add accessories like pearl necklace and a pump (for formal attire).

Wow, those tips are so good! I love them. I might try them out soon and I'll post them here for sure. I have yet to buy Fedora hat. I still don't have hats in my wardrobe. Thanks a lot Ms. Glenn! You've helped me big time. :-)

First one you can wear with denim shorts, same with the second one but with a grey or neutral color bandeau inside.

Fourth and sixth you can wear over tees or blouses, not too sure bout the 3rd and 5th though.

Hope that helps. :)

well, i can't tell you exactly how to wear them b/c i don't know what you have in the rest of your wardrobe obviously, but when it comes to lace and crochet i like to keep the rest of my outfit on the simpler side due to the texture that is already added from the lace/crochet. these pieces seem to all be good, practical wardrobe items that should easy to transition between looks : ), but sorry i couldn't go into more specific detail!
