Welcome Readers!

Welcome to the Mystic Blog of the only Mystic Nymph! I hope you have a blast reading my thoughts, and I hope you drop by again!

I'll let you in a little revelation about my favorite usernames in my virtual sites. First is about my Mikimoto Angel pen name. Mikimoto is a famous brand of pearl accessories in America. I first saw that brand in Vogue Magazine. I got mesmerized by that label, and I thought of using it. I just added Angel from my name "Angela". Thus, the formation of Mikimoto Angel.

For my other pen name Mystic Nymph, the word mystic really came from the show Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. I used to be so hooked to that show. I am also obsessed with mythologies, and nymphs are mythical creatures depicted as beautiful young women who are considered as guardians of objects and places in nature. Thus, the evolution of Mystic Nymph.

Distractions, Go Away: Inspirations, Please Come

Time Check 10:36pm. I seriously can't go on with my thesis proposal because of some distractions virtually and mentally. I'm still in the Review of Related Literature part. Two parts down, five more to go! I'm so distracted. I'm very preoccupied with worries of not being able to pass my paper on time, and with thoughts of Twittering, Facebooking and Mystic Nymph-ing instead of doing what I have to do. What an absurd play of words I have there! I can't wait for the 28th of February to come. I don't mind if I get major changes as long as my first ever thesis defense is done. I want this agony to go away even for just a short span of time. I've been having cognitive overload for the past days, and I badly need a break! Peace of mind, I am in dire need of you.

Time Check 10:50pm. I was reading Our Daily Bread when I happen to leaf through this passage -- "No one is hopeless who knows the God of Hope." It must have been destiny that I finally read something that can help me think positively, It says here that we should look to our Heavenly Father when the burdens of the world is too much with us. Despite those bad situations, we have HOPE. We have the hope that comes from being God's children. As quoted from ODB, "We have His promise of future glory -- a glory that far overshadows the sufferings of this present time." I believe in You, Lord. I fully trust in your ability to help troubled people find light.

Time Check 10:56pm. I've also read this passage about discouragement. It seems like ODB is becoming my "shelter from the rain". This part here tells us NOT TO BE DISCOURAGED, because discouragement is one of the devil's most effective weapons. We should not let him win just like that. We must trample him down by depending on God's power and strength. All He asks from us is our faithfulness. Have no fear that God will chide in you, cause He promised that He will be our fortress. Lord, forgive me for my impatience and lack of faith for the past few days. But I thank You for making me realize that I was not thinking the right way.

"Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." (Galatians 6:9)

Did it ever happen to you when you were so stressed then you suddenly felt fine because you prayed?

what's the title of your thesis? :)

It is true that discouragement is evil. I have done a lot of things yet find discouragement in it. It is quite hard to battle with such unless you have the strong belief that you can do anything you want no matter what...

I hope you'll find that inspiration.

Is the study you're conducting is within your interest? it would really help if you find your research interesting and something you like.

one thing I can remember while my group mates and I were working on our thesis, we were excited to finish the study ahead of the other groups. my groupmates were cooperative too and we supported each other a lot.

My thesis is about the small group communication of a networking company. I hope I just get minor revisions. My defense is on the 28th, and I'm getting really jittery. Anyway, thanks for making me feel relieved tess. It's very helpful. :-)
