Welcome Readers!

Welcome to the Mystic Blog of the only Mystic Nymph! I hope you have a blast reading my thoughts, and I hope you drop by again!

Marquee

I'll let you in a little revelation about my favorite usernames in my virtual sites. First is about my Mikimoto Angel pen name. Mikimoto is a famous brand of pearl accessories in America. I first saw that brand in Vogue Magazine. I got mesmerized by that label, and I thought of using it. I just added Angel from my name "Angela". Thus, the formation of Mikimoto Angel.

For my other pen name Mystic Nymph, the word mystic really came from the show Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. I used to be so hooked to that show. I am also obsessed with mythologies, and nymphs are mythical creatures depicted as beautiful young women who are considered as guardians of objects and places in nature. Thus, the evolution of Mystic Nymph.

Child’s Play: Timid and Feminine

Floral Georgette Top: Vintage
Skirt: Plains & Prints
Sling Bag: Rinarich
Flats: Chelsea
Bangles: Thrifted
Studs and Necklace: from England

I totally love this floral georgette top Mom got me. It’s very breezy and comfortable. Another thing that I like about it is that, I don’t have to iron it anymore. As I said in one of my posts here, I hate clothes that require an extra mile in ironing. I’m not patient in household matters like that. And oh by the way, I just figured out the difference between chiffon and georgette fabric. Simply Bored explains that both are used to achieve a flowy and princess-like effect. Georgette is springy, and it's thicker and heavier than chiffon. The latter one is more transparent and lighter.

I think I’m known for my brand of timid and feminine personality, and this womanly outfit just suits me best. And because of that, this is one of my most-loved look so far. If only I could be a girly girl all the time, I really would. It’s just that, life here in Davao is becoming hastier more than ever. I cannot bear to wear getups that will just limit my movements. I don’t want to live a life like that of a turtle. Maybe I’ll just try to pull off this kind of attire if I don’t need to hurry, or if time permits me to slow down a bit. I’m pretty sure you know what I mean.

Thanks for the compliment, Ms. Z! It was just recent that I knew about Georgette. I thought Chiffon was the only sheer fabric in the world. Haha There are a lot others pa pala. Hehe

what a cute lady :3 thanks for you comment, thank god that are some people who knows how to dress up and put outfits together! everytime i say something about how people dress in my country, everyone goes against me like "we're are free, we should all wear what we want and you have nothing to do with that!!!" well, they're right in a point, I have nothing to do with what they dress and they're free to do what they want. The only problem is when my friends come complain about the guys who approach them are all just interested in making out, having sex... then the guy leaves the girl when he realizes that she might look an "easy" girl but she's not, because she actually has a brain! It's not enough to have a brain, sometimes the way we dress and act it's the only way we show it! ^^ i'm glad i'm not the only person thinking like this :)

i'll be happy to be your friend! i'm really glad that i met you :3

love * Sofia

I love your outfit. The floral print of the top is so pretty. I definitely agree with you that ironing is no fun. I will not buy something that I know will require me to iron every time I want to wear it.
