Junya Watanabe's Fashion Models
Fashion has never been absent from the vocabulary of every women, and even men. We treat anyone who is into it with high regard. All walks of life hang on to it to satisfy the need for admiration. We may deny it, but there’s something inside that tells us how gratifying it is to get recognized, especially with our physical appearances. A perfect way to grab others’ attention is of course, to dress in chic. We always want to look fabulous with our wardrobes. For clothes to look stylish and trendy, the fashion world needs brilliant designers like Junya Watanabe.
Junya Watanabe has a famous collection of ready to wear cutting-edge designs because of his enthrallment with futuristic motifs. His style is well-known for having fabrics and textiles that are technologically advanced. Some of the technicalities in his trademark designs are waterproofing and the glow-in-the-dark fiber. Most critics describe his exceptional creations as avant-garde, high fashion and innovative. His works are even considered as critics’ favorite.
Those outstanding and jaw-dropping merits that Watanabe get from prominent people make his collections worthy of being labeled as luxurious and high-end. Most of his pieces are a little too expensive. But of course the quality is ultimately worth the price.
In Watanabe’s recent collection, stripes were dominant in his motif for both men and women. Edwardian bathing costumes were also reverberated with the striped leggings under long, drop-waisted dresses for women’s garments. He also emphasized Japanese fashion with the “long over longer” style. He carried out the “Tokyo Dolls” effect for his collection by letting his models wear toxic-colored wigs under their squashy governess' hats, and their faces cloaked by masks.
Although Junya Watanabe is still tagged as his mentor, Rei Kawakubo’s protégé, that doesn’t hinder this talented fashion icon from getting far enough to make a huge name in the industry of fashion. His designs may still be thought of as similar to that of Kawakubo, still, he has proven his worth with this method that only he himself knows how to pull off. His signature style, as what many described, is techno couture. Critics said his shows are constantly challenging. They never got bored with his unexpected construction of patterns in dress-making.
